The 2026 Festival

Larissa Cidlinsky
Violin
The international prizewinner Larissa Cidlinsky is building a reputation as an outstanding and versatile violinist. She was awarded a scholarship from the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb as well as the EMF Pirastro Young Artist Award.
As a soloist, she has performed with the Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bad Reichenhaller Philharmonie, and has appeared at international festivals such as the Krzyzowa Music Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Rheingau Musik Festival, and the Kronberg Academy.
From January to July 2026, she served as First Concertmaster of the Beethoven Orchester Bonn. She has also gained experience as Associate Concertmaster with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks and as Guest Concertmaster with ensembles including the Münchner Philharmoniker, the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Philharmonisches Orchester Altenburg Gera, the Streicherakademie Bozen, and the Kala Chamber Orchestra.
She studied with renowned teachers such as Igor Ozim and Esther Hoppe at the Mozarteum Salzburg; Donald Weilerstein, Li Lin, and Ronald Copes at the Juilliard School in New York; at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin with Ulf Wallin; and at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with Ana Chumachenco. She completed her Master’s degree and Konzertexamen with distinction under Prof. Friedemann Eichhorn in Weimar. In the second part of her final examination in December 2024, she performed Violin Concerto No. 1 by Karol Szymanowski with the University Orchestra Weimar under the direction of Vladimir Jurowski. She completed her studies with Janine Jansen at the HEMU Vaud-Valais in Sion in June 2024.
She has received scholarships from the Neue Liszt Stiftung Weimar, the Jürgen-Ponto-Stiftung, the DAAD-Stiftung, and the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
